- You will follow the foot prints of Peter the Great - Southern Karelia has been inhabited by Karelian people since ancient times. This land has witnessed numerous events of Russian history; during the last centuries this territory belonged to several countries.
- You will visit a traditional village of the XVII century, carefully preserved for centuries by local people and without any modern construction.
- You will see the flooded grottos of the marble quarry which stones are used to build Isaac’s Cathedral and metro station in Saint Petersburg. You will be happy about the quality of the century-old Finnish roads lost in the woods and ride on them enjoying the breathtaking landscape.
- You will explore the beauty of Ladoga skerries and visit the Valaam archipelago.
- You will get the full relaxation in a traditional chimney-less Karelian sauna.
- You will experience extravagant Karelian meals cooked in an old Russian stove .
The difficulty of the program can be adjusted according to the group skills and experience. This allows every participant to enjoy the journey and be able to go through the off-road parts of the route with a big smile. Off-road proportion: 50% (dirt, sand, forest trails)
Day 1
Meeting at the airport or train station in Petrozavodsk, transfer to the Enduro Camp Karelia (30 km), checking-in at the cottages.After breakfast you have an introductory briefing, equipment distribution, safety instruction, warming-up.
A training driving session in the forest near the Enduro Camp Karelia (14 km of dirt roads). After the session you have good lunch, foolowed by training session in the sand-pit
Evening is for leisure. Visit to the Husky farm, sauna, dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast and briefing. Driving along the route. Fording the rivers, going through the gravel and forest roads (30 km of asphalt roads, 90 km of dirt roads). Picnic in Kokkoila village. Driving along the route (dirt roads, and forest roads), arrival to Kinerma village.Checking-in at the cottages. An excursion in Kinerma village and museum. Chimney-less “black” sauna. Dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast and briefing concerning the route. Driving along the route. Fording the rivers, going through the gravel and forest roads (10 km asphalt roads, 40 km dirt roads). Picnic lunch. Driving along the route. (140 km of asphalt roads of various quality). Checking-in at the “Ladozhskaya usadba” cottages. Sauna, dinner.Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Boat trip to Vallaam island.Lunch at the “Ladozhskaya usadba”. Driving along on the route. (15 km of asphalt roads, 35 km of dirt roads). Tour to the Ruskeala Marble quarry. Driving along the route. (30 km of dirt roads)Check-in at the cottages of the “Black Stones” resort. Time for leisure, spa. Dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast and short briefing. Driving along the route on the gravel and asphalt roads (80 km of dirt roads), picnic linch.Driving along the route. (80 km of asphalt roads of various quality, 10 km of dirt roads). Arrival to the camp, time for leisure, sauna, dinner.
Day 6
After breakfast briefing concerning the route. Riding 75 km of asphalt roads of varying difficulty, 10 of km dirt roads. Picnic lunch
20 km of asphalt roads of various quality, 40 km of dirt roads. Checking-in at the cottages “Beluga” or “Denisov Mys” resorts.
Sauna, dinner, fishing.
Day 720 km of asphalt roads of various quality, 40 km of dirt roads. Checking-in at the cottages “Beluga” or “Denisov Mys” resorts.
Sauna, dinner, fishing.
After breakfast briefing concerning the route. Off-road ride to river bank 30 km of asphalt roads of various quality, 40 km of dirt roads. Picnic lunch. Rafting / canoeing / catamaran sailing / kayaking. Sailing back to the Camp. Evening entertainment in the Sami tent (dinner, performance of the ethnic music band)
